Mayfest in the first weekend in May is a tradition in Fort Worth, Texas. It is held right on the bank of the Trinity River in Trinity Park; the entire park is filled with stages, rides, and fun things for the entire family.
I saw an opportunity to do something that I had wanted to do for a long time – project a huge laser show across the river to the opposite bank!
We used four high power RGB laser projectors, spaced at 200 feet from one another, and got what I wanted – an 800 foot wide projection screen! Everything about the show was a challenge, including the weather (another Mayfest tradition), but in the end I thought it worked out great.
