Newsflash! The International Laser Display Association met in Heshan, Guangdong, China in March, 2007. At the meeting, ILDA members elected Laser Spectacles' president Tim Walsh to be President of the worldwide organization! Tim was a founding member of ILDA in 1986, and is looking forward to working closely with his colleagues around the world to further the art of laser display.

Laser Spectacles is on MySpace - LSI MySpace page Happening now at Laser Spectacles: Laser Spectacles is preparing a new multimedia/laser experience for the LBJ Library and Museum in Austin, TX. Opening August 27, 2008, and running for almost 11 months, the exhibit is called "Man in Space", and will explore the history of the USA's race to the moon. Laser Spectacles' show willbe the final experience for visitors, and is designed to give them a taste of what it might be like to be in space between the moon and the Earth. July is the month for patriotic fever - Laser Spectacles is performing June 28 at Possum Kingdom Lake at the Possum Hollow Resort's Night of Fire and Music, and then in downtown Midland on July 4 for the Star Spangled Celebration. Then it is off to Roswell, New Mexico on July 5 for the UFO Festival! On March 7, 2008 Laser Spectacles performed a laser show for the grand opening of "Big League Dreams" in Mansfield, Texas. The show was held in their indoor soccer facility, and was a great success - the City of Mansfield has asked us back in December! January and February was the season for Chamber of Commerce banquets! Laser Spectacles provided spectacular finales to the Chamber banquets in Angleton, New Braunfels, and Frisco, Texas in January, and the North San Antonio Chamber in February. Laser Spectacles performed holiday laser shows in 2007 for the second year in a row in Plano, TX; in San Antonio, TX at the Aztec Theater; for the third time in Peoria for the Caterpillar Corporation; and for the 6th year in a row in Corpus Christi at the Harbor Lights Festival. We also did a special laser show for the Texas School for the Deaf on Dec. 20, 2007, before the students left for the holidays. On Saturday, Sept. 22, Laser Spectacles provided lasers for a wonderful Hill Country party for Shawn Ash, read about it here. On Friday and Saturday, August 24 and 25, Laser Spectacles assisted Beamin Lasers in opening the Mazatzal Casino in Payson Arizona. Laser Spectacles had a busy summer, performing on July 3 in Crockett, TX (where the show was moved inside due to the rainy weather); on July 4 in Big Spring, TX; on July 6 and 7 at the UFO Festival in Roswell, NM; and at the grand re-opening of the Akron Museum of Art with the laser harp on July 7, 2007. then, from july 10-13 we performed at the Texas FFA Convention in corpus Christi, TX Laser Spectacles has been performing shows on snow at ski resorts!. Laser Spectacles has upgraded the laser system at the Mid America Science Museum in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The MASM uses the latest Pangolin and hard disk recording technology, as well as adding multiple beam and grating outputs to the show. The new show opened in late October 2006. High ski resort in California in January 2007 - Mountain High Laser We did the yearly Hurst Christmas Tree Lighting laser show, Nov. 30, 2006 in Hurst Texas - it was bitter cold, and everyone attending got to watch the outdoor show from inside City Hall! It actually started snowing during the show, which is quite a rare occurence for Texas in November. Laser Spectacles performed once again at the Harbor Lights Festival laser show in Corpus Christi, Texas, on December 2, 2006! The audience loved our new Latino Holiday selections - Urban-15, San Antonio, TX continues to present Tim Walsh and Laser Spectacles in a yearly series of shows for schoolchildren, and evening public concerts, for 2006 in the beautifully restored Aztec Theater in downtown San Antonio on the Riverwalk! July was an intense month as always for Laser Spectacles, but we survived the heat! - on the Texas/Mexico border, next to the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas on Friday, June 30, and July 1 & 2, 2006, we set up a big screen and did patriotic lasers.Eagle Pass Laser Pictures And then, we did a show at the big patriotic celebration in Crockett, Texas on Tuesday, July 4, 2006. The Big Day! Becaue of an 80% chance of rain, the show was moved indoors to the county Arena, where everyone had a great time and stayed dry!Crockett Laser Pictures The Texas FFA convention was held in Fort Worth July 11-14, 2006 and Laser Spectacles kicked off each of seven general sessions with a show, as it has done for the past three years! Laser Spectacles headed to Colorado again! We had some great laser fun at the Kremmling Days celebration in Kremmling, CO on June 16 and 17, 2006. Tim even won the Cliff Golf Contest!!! Starting with a tour around Loop 610 with a police escort, returning to a laser "beacon", and finishing with a laser-fueled party 'til the wee hours - More about it at Scion Expo MySpace page Laser Spectacles was a surprise guest at the DJ Expo and Fashion Show in San Antonio May 16 - performing with DJ Tiesto from Amsterdam and local favorites, the light show really rocked the house! Tiesto Laser Show We did a special laser show for Aerospace Career Day at Brooks City - Base in San Antonio on May 2-4, to inspire kids to consider careers in the high tech fields.
