"Next Snow Search Competition" | ||

For the past few years we have been doing this great ski and snowboard competition for kids, the Next Snow Search. The last two were at Killington Resort in Vermont, and Steamboat Springs in Colorado. The format is the same - we use three air-cooled lasers, YAG and Copper Vapor, and sweep the surrounding hills while projecting a variety of graphics on the huge wall of snow built up for the contest Click on the following image to see it large; this is a photo of the abovementioned snow wall, and they shoot flames out evey time a contestant jumps! Look at the top of the flame and you can see a little body twisting around; this is the current ski-jumping contestant!

At the 2007 show Feb. 3 in Steamboat Springs, it was very festive, as if we were on a town square. They always shoot off fireworks at the end!
