FutureFest was the second annual massive put on by Massive Intent, this time held in beautiful Apache Pass in Downtown, Texas, Texas. If that sounds confusing, it’s just the way it is – on FM908 north of Rockdale, TX you enter the town of “Downtown, Texas”, and then you turn into Apache Pass at the big gate with the crossed arrows. Apache Pass was designed for camping, RVs, and large gatherings of any kind.

Apache Pass Suspension Bridge
This is good Central Texas land, lots of big meadows and lots of big oak and pecan trees. The owners of Apache Pass have made improvements that facilitate camping and big events, including a stage on one side of the river that runs through the property, and a long pedestrian suspension bridge connecting the stage to the event area. Staff and VIP got to walk across the bridge tonight – it could get pretty hairy swaying side to side with people’s weight swinging as they walked! People wandered from the east side of the property, the local and dubstep stages, across the big field of the main stage, to the west side of the property and the house stage.

Cross Beams Stripes
The party was great. The haze we created drifted slowly around the venue giving the lasers good visibility. Laser Spectacles set up multiple and varied lasers – we placed two green lasers on the main stage “Metro Dome”, and three RGB laser at the house stage “Future Retro”.
